По данным опроса, в котором приняли участие 1 000 переводчиков со всех концов света наиболее распространенным исходным языком перевода (source language) является английский – 72%, в то время как самым распространенным целевым языком (target language) является испанский – 18%, за ним следует итальянский – 15% , английский (11%), французский (9%), китайский (4%) и арабский (4%) языки.

98% переводчиков предоставляют услуги письменного перевода. За параллельный перевод могут взяться лишь 25% респондентов, 12% предлагают синхронный перевод.

Самая распространенная минимальная ставка за перевод 1 слова – 0,05€ (11%). 7% опрошенных требуют 0,06€ за слово. Самая высокая же ставка среди опрошенных – 0,9€. Такую сумму запросил лишь один переводчик.
