The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11: 1-9)

Chumburung

Babɛl a ke̱kyaŋ so̱swe̱e̱-ɔ

  1. Saŋ-ɔ kaye̱-ɔ pɛɛɛ ase̱sɛ a sa se̱ŋsa ko̱ŋko̱ na ke̱sagyi ko̱ŋko̱.
  2. Ne̱ baa kpa kye̱nakpa, ne̱ baa bo̱rɔ kyɔwe̱ le̱e̱kpa muruwi-ro ane̱ŋ-aaa ya to̱ ifuri ne̱ e̱ da bo̱ kyo̱ŋwe̱ Sinare bɛɛɛ Babilɔŋ swe̱e̱re̱ se̱-ɔ, ne̱ baa sii kye̱na mfe̱ŋ.
  3. Ne̱ ba te̱e̱ abɛɛ fɛɛ, “Mo̱nꞌ ba. Mo̱nꞌ sa a ane̱ waa ibriŋkesi na ane̱ tɔ e̱mo̱ a e̱ be̱re̱ nɛɛnɛɛ waa le̱ŋ.” Bo̱ mo̱ŋ ba e̱se̱ ne̱ ba kye-o na agyare̱kɔ bo̱ pwɛɛ. Baa ba ibriŋkesi na ko̱o̱taare̱ bo̱ pwɛɛ ne̱e̱.
  4. Ne̱ bo̱ yɛ, “Mo̱nꞌ sa a ane̱ pwɛɛ maŋ dabe̱, na ane̱ pwɛɛ ke̱kyaŋ so̱swe̱e̱ ya bo̱ kya Wuribware̱ se̱. A sa a ane̱ nya ke̱nyare̱ dabe̱, na ane̱ ma lɛɛ brawe̱-rɔ yɔ kaye̱-rɔ to̱ŋ ke̱maa ke̱maa.”
  5. Ne̱ Wuribware̱ a kpo̱ro̱we̱ bo̱ ŋu maŋ na ke̱kyaŋ so̱swe̱e̱ ne̱ bo̱ saŋ ba pwɛɛ-ɔ.
  6. Ne̱ ɔ yɛ, “Bo̱ gye̱ ase̱sɛ ko̱ŋko̱, ne̱ ba sa se̱ŋsa ko̱ŋko̱ ne̱e̱ se̱ ne̱ ba waa mfaanɛɛ a atɔ-ɔ. Amo̱se̱-ɔ ke̱tɔ ko̱ mo̱ŋ bo̱-rɔ ne̱ bo̱ maa taare̱ a bo̱ waa.
  7. Mo̱nꞌ sa a ane̱ yɔ mfe̱ŋ ya nye̱na bamo̱ se̱ŋsa-ɔ, na bo̱ turi, na bo̱ ma lɛɛ nu abɛɛ se̱ŋsa.”
  8. Amo̱se̱-ɔ Wuribware̱ a brawe̱ bamo̱-rɔ, ne̱ baa yɔwe̱ ke̱kyaŋ na maŋ-ɔ ke̱pwɛɛ.
  9. Amo̱se̱ ne̱ ba te̱e̱ mfe̱ŋ ɛ Babɛl, kaase̱ e̱ kaapo̱ fɛɛ Bamo̱-e̱se̱ŋsa-a-ke-ro, a le̱e̱ fɛɛ Wuribware̱ a sa ne̱ kaye̱-rɔ e̱se̱ŋsa kwe̱e̱ abɛɛ-rɔ. Mfe̱ŋ ne̱ Wuribware̱ a brawe̱ ase̱sɛ-rɔ bo̱ kyo̱ŋwe̱ to̱ŋ ke̱maa ke̱maa.
