Tongan numbers

How to count in Tongan (Faka-Tonga), a Polynesian language spoken mainly on the island of Tonga in the Pacfic.

For double digits there are full-style numbers and telephone-style numbers. The telephone-style numbers are shorter and simpler, for example 11 is hongofulu ma taha in the full-style, and taha-taha in the telephone style.

The numbers are sometimes written as one word. Sometimes the parts are separated by a hyphen or a space.

If any of the numbers are links, you can hear a recording by clicking on them. If you can provide recordings, please contact me.
