Batak Mandailing (Saro Mandailing)

Batak Mandailing is a Southern Batak language spoken by about 691,000 people mainly in North Sumatra Province in Indonesia. It is spoken in particular in the regencies of Mandailing Natal, North Padang Lawas, Padang Lawas, Labuhan Batu, North Labuhan Batu and South Labuhan Batu. There are also some speakers of Batak Mandailing in the northwest of Riau Province, and in West Sumatra provinces.

Batak Mandailing is also known as Mandailing, Mandailing Batak, Saro Mandailing or Batta. There are ways to write it with the Batak script and with the Latin alphabet. There is a dictionary and other texts in Batak Mandailing.
