Ekoka ǃKung is a Kxʼa language spoken by about 20,000 people in Namibia, Angola and South Africa. In 2013 there were 9,000 speakers of Ekoka !King in Namibia, mainly in the Erongo, Otjozondjupa and Khoma regions. In Angola in 2016 there were 5,500 speakers of Ekoka ǃKung in Cunene, Huíla and Kuando Kubango provinces.
In 2013 there were about 3,700 Ekoka ǃKung speakers in the Diamondfields district of Northern Cape province in South Africa. In the same year there were 2,000 speakers of Ekoka ǃKung in Ghanzi district of Botswana.
Ekoka ǃKung is also known as Kung-Ekoka, Western !Xuun, North-Central Ju, !Hu, !Khung, !Ku, ǃKung, !Xu, !Xun, !Xung, Ekoka !Xung, Ekoka-!Xû, Kung or Qxü.
