Kadiwéu is a Guaicuruan language spoken by about 1,600 people in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul in southern Brazil. In particular, it is spoken near the border between Brazil and Paraguay in the villages of Bodoquena, Campina, Tomazia and Sao Joaoin in the Kadiwéu Indigenous Territory in the municipality of Porto Murtinho.
Kadiwéu is also known as Kaduveo, Caduveo, Kadivéu, and Kadiveo. It is most closely related to Toba Qom, which is spoken in northern Argentina. Kadiwéu can be written with the Latin alphabet, and was first documented in the 1950s, although there are descriptions of the Kadiwéu people dating back to the 16th century. There is a translation of the New Testament of the Bible in Kadiwéu, and a Kadiwéu–Portuguese dictionary.
