Miju is a spoken in Lohit District of Arunachal Pradesh in the northeast of India. There are also some Miju speakers in Zayü County of Tibet in China. Miju is possibly a Sino-Tibetan language, or a language isolate. In 2006 there were 18,000 speakers of Miju, which is also known as Kaman, Geman, Geman Deng, Miju Mishmi or Midzu. In China the Miju people are known as Deng (僜人).
