The Novo Tupi Alphabet was created in about 1811 by José Francisco Pagano Brundo as a way to write Old Tupi, a language that was spoken by the Tupi people in Brazil until about the 18th or 19th century, and which developed into Nheengatu (Modern Tupi). It appears to be based on the Latin alphabet.
Old Tupi is also known as Ancient Tupi, Classical Tupi or Tupinambá. It was first documented in the 16th century by Portuguese missionaries and priests, who developed ways to write it with the Latin alphabet.

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil
