Rotokas

Rotokas is a North Bougainville language spoken by about 4,000 people on the island of Bougainville, an island which is part of Papua New Guinea and which located to the east of New Guinea. There are three main dialects: Central Rotokas, Aita Rotokas and Pipipaia. Central Rotokas has one of the smallest inventories of phonemes in the world.

Translation

In the beginning God created heaven and earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The spirit of God was hovering over the water. Then God said, "Let there be light!" So there was light.
