Yimchungrü is a member of the Ao branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family. It is spoken by the Yimchunger Naga people in Tuensang district in Nagaland in northeastern India. In 2001 there were 92,000 Yimchungrü speakers.
Yimchungrü is also known as Yimchungrü Naga, Yachumi or Yatsumi. Dialects include Tikhir, Wai, Chirr, Minir, Pherrongre, Yimchungru.
H is pronounced [ʔ] at the end of syllable.
