The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11: 1-9)

Psikyɛ (Psikye)

Ŋkwa nya biya nya mbe Babɛl

  1. Pɛtɛ se mbeli nyi te hɛɗi kageze ghena nya kwetɛŋe, kanya kwetɛŋe se mɛrea nci.
  2. Ma te kwete və ne, pa mbeli slənji kadzeyi laka ŋkwa kesame ta veci, pa hɛ ntsate kwete ŋwela te hɛɗia Shinɛyar, pa hɛ nzanji tagha.
  3. Ma ke hɛ kwelɛ ghəa nci: «Mbara ɓəmə! Mpate ɓəmə brəki shɛ gheɓəmə terekɛ hɛ mbe ghwə!» Brəki yamene slene hɛ le te ŋkwa pelɛ, shimti ya te ŋkwa rekɛ.
  4. Ma ke hɛ zhɛkwa: «Mbara ɓəmə! Ŋate ɓəmə meleme ba'a ŋkwa nya biya nya kedzeme kacɛme ghweme! Ma tsagha ne, kateɗepe zləvəa ɓəmə mbeli te yayata ŋkwa ba'a katepesle geva gheɓəmə kwetɛ kwetɛŋe te hɛɗi we.»
  5. Pa Mahwətə sawa kadzete hɛɗi kezha newe meleme ba'a ŋkwa nya biya nyi ŋa mbeli.
  6. Ma ke Mahwətə ɓiyitsa: «Amaga, wa nyi hɛ nyi kejikəte geva kambeli nyi kwetɛŋe, ghena nya kwetɛŋe yageze hɛ, ganyɛke ghate hɛ! Ma tsetsenya ne, wəsə shɛ kafɛake wəsə nya tarete hɛ kamene kemene geva we.
  7. Mbara ɓəmə kadzawa kagweɗə ghena ta nci, fɛake ɓəmə hɛ kefa ghena kwelɛ ghəa nci.»
  8. Pa Mahwətə tazemte hɛ shave mbe meleme ta nci kadzete yayata ŋkwa te hɛɗi, pa hɛ zlenekɛ ŋa ta melemea shɛ.
  9. Vatse ndeke nda sləa Babɛl mbeli kwa nza nde tagha gweɗəmte ghena ta mbeli nyi te hɛɗi Mahwətə ba'a se tagha pesleyi mbeli ŋkɛ te hɛɗi.
