Arabikkha was invented by Jirakit Meathanavanon when he noticed that there were no adaptations of the Arabic alphabet for Pali and Sanskrit on Omniglot yet. It is designed so that each sound of Pali and Sanskrit is represented by one letter.
The letters كعُ عُ عِ كعِ are only occur in closed syllables
