larenti tergush larenti tergush

larenti tergush, or "Language (of) Valley", is a designed language created by Tiogshi Laj. Having been created by a native speaker of Canadian English, its vowels and consonant sounds are heavily influenced by the same. Its vocabulary has not been influenced by any language which Tiogshi knows. Its unique grammar and speaking style was originally modelled on English, but it has evolved into something that is quite definitely its own.

Now possessing an approaching-complete vocabulary (some large holes where it lacks nouns) it is a speakable language, which has been used in a few works of fiction, and a few works of non-fiction, all by the creator of the language. It is not used by any large speaker base, yet; with one speaker, and somewhere between one and six others who can recognize it, it is still being spread, as well as developed.

Tiogshi began creating the language out of boredom, and was playing around with grammar theory in his spare time. At the time, moderately interested in character-based role-playing, he decided to base an existing character of his as being "from" a place where this language was spoken. From there, he had 4 words in the language; the full name of this character, "Ralashi Mereikta Rej'Sor Minitos". And the place Ralashi was from was called, by its inhabitants, "Home Valley", or gion tergush. Hence, larenti tergush.

Since then, Tiogshi has found the language to be a useful and fun way to excersize both his creativity and his understanding of written and spoken language. He now maintains, expands, and uses larenti tergush as a part of his everyday life.

The pronunciation keys given below are assuming you use the pronunciation rules of Canadian English. Tiogshi has yet to learn the equivalent IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) equivalents to use.
