The New English alphabet was invented by Richard Parry as a proposal of moving English to a more logical and consistent spelling. When writing in other writing systems and conscripts, he uses the New English letter mappings as a base; to add another layer of encoding to personal documents.
Work started on the alphabet back in 2008 and tweaked until 2015, when it was fully usable for all real-world examples. It can be used to write English, act as a phonetic guide for current English spelling, and can transcribe words from other languages into Anglicised pronunciations.
