Wata’echi / Southern Archipelago Script    Wata’echi

The Wata’echi script was created by René M P for the fictional conworld of Wah’gai. The Wata’etchi script is used by the seafaring Ti’kami’shewa “beastblood“ tribes of the volcanic islands south of Wah’gai’s largest continent, and some “pureblood” scholars refer to it as Nienun Sefienko Muhelko, or Script of the Southern Archipelago.

The script was inspired by the mainland Engarun script, and was commissioned and adopted by the chieftain who became the language’s namesake, in the hope that a writing system would be the first step in transforming his warlike tribe into a civilization on par with the mainland purebloods. To say that his vision succeeded would be an understatement.
