Chru

Chru is a member of the Chamic branch of the Malayo-Polynesian language family. It is spoken in Lâm Đồng, Bình Thuận and Ninh Thuận Provinces in southern Vietnam. In 2009 there were about 19,000 speakers of Chru, which is also known as Cadoe Loang, Cho Ru, Choru, Chrau Hma, Chu, Chu Ru, Churu, Cru, Kru and Seyu.

It is used to some extent on the radio. There is a Chru dictionary, and a Chru version of the New Testament was published in 2015.

Hũ mơnih kơmơi 'buh 'bơng rơlo kuan, asơu, kra, ala, nhụ sơụ. Mơnih kơmơi 'bơng rơlo pơbui, lơmo, kơbau, mơnụ.

Translation

Women don't eat gibbon, dog, monkey, snake; it's taboo. They eat pork, beef, buffalo and chicken.
