Kamda is member of the Kadu branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family. It is spoken in South Kordofan Province {جنوب كردفان} in southern Sudan. Kamda is classified as a dialect of Tulishi, which is also known as Kuntulishi, Thulishi or Tulesh. In 2007 there were about 2,500 speakers of all dialects of Tulishi.
