The Antikom script is an alternative script for Turkish invented by Adiljan Barat in 2017. The name is derived from a Turkish word antik, which means "ancient". His motivation is to create an equal-height and intensive script for Turkish like East Asian scripts. It is partly inspired by Korean Hangeul and the Yi script.
In the alphabet, the first row is combined form, and the second row is a separate form. The combined form is half the size of the separate form. Vowels have no separate form. They should be combined with consonants as syllabic blocks, and always go at the bottom.
For example, "future":
Bütün insanlar hür, haysiyet ve haklar bakımından eşit doğarlar. Akıl ve vicdana sahiptirler ve birbirlerine karşı kardeşlik zihniyeti ile hareket etmelidirler.
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards
one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
