Sinhala for Malagasy (මලගසි)

Sinhala for Malagasy is a way to write Malagasy with the Sinhala script devised by Sammy Silvers. He noticed that the Sinhala script has all the letters needed to transcribe Malagasy accurately, and in a more space-saving and phonemically fitting way than the Latin alphabet.

Malagasy is usually written with a version of the Latin alphabet brought by the French. This is a decent phonemic fit for the language, however it is rather cumbersome, featuring many odd digraphs with both consonants and vowels that make Malagasy's already extremely long words even more imposing.
