In Korean dates are written year, month, day, possibly followed by the day of the week. For example, today’s date in Korean is 2024년11월21일 (21.11.2024).
When talking about the year in a date, rather than saying something like twenty twenty three, or nineteen eighty five, you say 이천이십삼 (icheon-isibsam), or two thousand twenty-three, and 천구백팔십오 (cheongubaegpalsib-o), or one thousand nine hundred eighty-five. However you write 2023년 and 1985년.
