Botolan

Botolan is a member of the Central Luzon branch of the Malayo-Polynesian language family. It is spoken mainly in Botolan and Cabangan municipalities in the province of Zambales in Central Luzon in the Philippines. In 2000 there were about 33,000 speakers of Botolan.

Botolan is spoken by people of all ages, and they are all literate in their language. The language is also known as Botolan Sambal or Zambal.

  1. Hinalità konla ni Apo Hisos, “Ha panalangin moyo,” wana, “ay ombayri ya halita-en moyo: ‘Tatay nawen ya Diyos, hay ngalan mo ya ayin kapintasan ay igalang dayi nin kaganawan. Andawaten nawen ya tampol ana dayin lomateng ya pamomo-on mo.
