Gawwada is a Cushitic language spoken in southern Ethiopia in the Dirashe special woreda, part of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (SNNPR). In 2007 there were about 69,000 speakers of Gawwada, which is also known as Ale, Dabosse, Dullay, Gauwada, Gawata, Kawwada or Kawwad'a.
Dialects of Gawwada include Dihina, Gergere, Gollango, Gorose and Harso. Some linguists consider these separate languages.
