New Hanyu Pinyin

New Hanyu Pinyin is an alternative way of writing Mandarin Chinese devised by Martin Luan. It is based on previous scripts he has invented, and is has two main purposes: to give the pinyin a specific look, and to present pinyin in a more efficient and logic way.

Direction of writing: left to right in horizontal lines, or top to bottom in vertical colomns
Used to write: Mandarin Chinese (普通话)
Each syllable has four parts: initial, medial, final and tone. Except for the tones, the other three are all connected together to create a syllable with very specific shape. Each syllable has to have at least one of initial, medial or final.
There is a vertical stem in each syllable. The initials and medials are always on one side and the finals on the other. The medial and final have mirrored two shapes depending on the initial positions.
The letters have only one case, although more fonts have been developed for aesthetic uses.
Each syllable represents one specific sound in reference to one or more Chinese Characters. The syllables together form words or sentences, which could be written in either vertical or horizontal direction.
The tone diacritics are only used for #2, #3 or #4 tones. They are optional if it wouldn't bring confusion.
