ZhongHua Yu Zi    ZhongHua Yu Zi

The ZhongHua Yu Zi (中华语字) was invented by Martin Luan as an alternative script for Mandarin Chinese. It's designed to be simple, logical and flexible, and the name means "Chinese Speaking Character".

The sound of the consonants are based on BoPoMoFo and their shapes come from the shape and position of lips and teeth when the sound are pronounced. The shapes are basic squares and lines to make them easy to write and read. All similar sounds have more or less the same shape and can be recognized easily once you know the basic rule.
