Guere is a Western Kru language spoken in western Ivory Coast, specifially in the districts of Bas-Sassandra and Montagnes. In 2017 there were about 422,000 speakers of Guere. Other varieties or dialects of Guere are spoken in Liberia.
Guere is also known as Southern Wè, Central Guéré, Gere or Wee. It is used on the radio and television, and about 25-40% Guere speakers are literate in their language.
