Neyo is a member of the Eastern Kru branch of the Niger-Congo language family. It is spoken near the mouth of the Sassandra River in southern Ivory Coast, particularly in Kébé and Neyo cantons of Sassandra subprefecture of Bas-Sassandra district. In 1993 there were about 9,200 speakers of Neyo, which is also known as Gwibwen or Towi.
