Santiagueño Quechua is a Southern Quechua language spoken in northern Argentina by about 60,000 people, particularly in the province of Santiago del Estero. It is also spoken in the provinces of Chaco and Salta in northeastern Argentina, and in Buenos Aires.
Santiagueño Quechua is also known as Santiago del Estero Quichua, Santiagueño Quichua, Santiagen Quichua, Quichua santiagueño, Quichua, Kichwa Simi or Kichwa Runasimi.
It is written with the Latin alphabet. There are some radio progams in the language, and it is taught in some schools.
