Harahap - Toge Na Rata was created by Pardomuan Harahap is an alternative way to write Batak languages. It can also be used to write Indonesian, English and other languages that use the Latin alphabet without diacritics.
"Toge Na Rata" means dark green bean seeds in Batak Angkola, Batak Mandailing, Batak Simalungun and Batak Toba. Pardomuan named it because he has loved green bean seeds since he was a child, and the shapes of the letters are based on bean seeds.
