Machaq Aymar

The Machaq Aymar Script was created by TheDankBoi69 as an alternative way to write Aymara, which is spoken mainly in Bolivia and Peru, and is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. The script is also known as the New Aymara Writing System (N.A.W.S.) or Machaq Aymar Qillqanaka.

Aymara has been written with the Latin script since the 16th century, and there have been various spelling systems. Spanish-based orthographies are not ideal as they include digraphs such as ll and ch to represent one phoneme.

Notable features

Type of script: quasi-featural alphabet
Direction of writing: left to right in horizontal lines
Used to write: Aymara (Aymar aru)
There are diacritics for laryngealized plosives
Long vowels are rendered as duplicated versions of their respective normal vowel versions, to replace the umlaut used in the Latin script.
This script is mostly about mirroring and rotating the letters to make similar sounds.
Subscript vowels can be written for breve vowels that usually are pronounced shorter than normal vowels
This writing system can be adapted to Jaqaru, but more glyphs will have to be invented in order to fit the whole phonology.

Translation
