Days of the week in many different languages

In case you're wondering why this table shows Monday as the first day of the week, rather than Sunday or another day: for about 3.3 billion people (44% of the world's population) in 160 countries, including the UK (where I live), Monday is the first day of the week. For 4 billion people in 67 countries (55% of the world's population), Sunday is the first day of the week, and in Afghanistan, Iran and Somalia, Saturday is the first day of the week [more details].

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday
