Midland Mixe is a member of the Mixe branch of the Mixe-Zoque language family. It is spoken by about 8,090 people in the Sierra Mixe District in the Sierra Norte Region in the northeast of Oaxaca in southern Mexico.
Midland Mixe is also known Central Mixe, Chuxnabán Mixe or Mixe Alto del Sur. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
