Tojolabal (Tojolꞌabꞌal)

Tojolabal is a Mayan language spoken in the Mexican state of Chiapas, in the departments of Altamirano and Margaritas. According to the 2010 census, there are 51,733 speakers of Tojolabal, which is also known as Chañabal, Comiteco or Tojol-ab’al. It is closely related to Chuj, a Mayan language spoken in Guatemala.

Tojolabal is used to some extent on a local radio station in Margaritas.
