- Xóxó hwenu ɔ́, gbe ɖokpó ɔ́ wɛ gbɛtɔ́ lɛ́ɛ bǐ nɔ́ dó, bó nɔ́ zán xógbe ɖokpó lɛ́ɛ.
- Zǎnzǎnhwe jí wɛ gbɛtɔ́ lɛ́ɛ gosín, bó yi mɔ tɔdo ɖé ɖo Mɛzopotamíi, bó jɛ agban nyi fínɛ́.
- Yě ɖɔ nú yěɖée ɖɔ: “Éénɛ́! Din ɔ́, mǐ ní sún blǐki, bó xo zo dó ɖo kpó mɛ.” Yě sɔ́ blǐki lɛ́ɛ dó ɖó awǐnnya, bó sɔ́ gudlɔ́n dó ɖó kɔ́ nyinya.
- Yě lɛ́ ɖɔ: “Din ɔ́, mǐ ní gbá toxo ɖaxó ɖokpó, síngbó ɖaxó ɖokpó, bɔ é ná yi jǐ yi sɔ́ jǐnukúnsin. Énɛ́ ɔ́, nyǐkɔ mǐtɔn ná yi jǐ, bɔ mǐ ná gba kpé ayǐkúngban ɔ́ bǐ jí ǎ.”
- wɛ gbɛtɔ́ lɛ́ɛ ɖe ɔ́ kpó,
- bó ɖɔ: “Yě bǐ nyí togun ɖokpó, bó ɖo gbe ɖokpó ɔ́ dó wɛ. Nǔ e yě ká sí te din bó ɖɔ émí ná bló é nɛ́. Yě lɛ́n nǔɖé bó ná wa din ɔ́, nǔɖé sɔ́ ɖe bó ná hɛn yě ɖó te ǎ.
- Ée é nyí mɔ̌ din ɔ́, mǐ ní jɛ te, bó ná sɔ́ gbe vovo dó nu nú yě; énɛ́ ɔ́, mɛ ɖě ɔ́ sɔ́ ná mɔ nǔ jɛ xó e ɖɔ wɛ mɛ ɖě ɔ́ ɖe ɔ́ mɛ ǎ.”
- Nǔgbó ɔ́, Mawu Mavɔmavɔ gba yě dó sín fínɛ́, bɔ yě gba kpé ayǐkúngban ɔ́ bǐ jí, bó jó toxo e gbá wɛ yě ɖe ɔ́ dó.
- Énɛ́ ɔ́ wú wɛ toxo ɔ́ nɔ́ nyí Babɛ́li; tínmɛ tɔn wɛ nyí hannyahannya, ɖó fínɛ́ wɛ Mawu Mavɔmavɔ sɔ́ gbe vovo e è nɔ dó ɖo ayǐkúngban jí lɛ́ɛ dó nu nú yě ɖe; fínɛ́ wɛ Mawu Mavɔmavɔ ka lɛ́ gba yě dó kpé ayǐkúngban ɔ́ bǐ jí ɖe.
