The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11: 1-9)

  1. Mu mainhama ensi yoonayoona yali n'olulimi lulala, n'endhogera ndala.
  2. Aye abantu bwe baaja nga batambulatambula eyo batyo mu buvandhuba, baayagaana aghataamuufu baasenga agho.
  3. Baakoba bati: “Ka tuwumbe amatoofaali, tugookye bukalamu, gabbalanguke.” Kale baaba n'amatoofaali mu kifo ky'amabaale, era n'eitosi mu kifo kya seminti.
  4. Agho baakoba bati: “Ka twezimbire ekibuga, twezimbire n'omunaala ogutuuka ku igulu tumanhikane, memale tulobe kusansaanizibwa mu nsi.”
  5. Agho Musengwa Katonda yaika ghansi okubona ekibuga n'omunaala abantu abo bye baali bazimbye,
  6. era yaakoba ati: “Abantu bano boonaboona bali muntu mulala, era boogera olulimi lulala! Kino kitoolereiza butoolereze ku ebyo bye baidha okukola ye bwidha baidha kukolanga kyonakyona kye benda!
  7. Ka twike ghansi tutabuletabule olulimi lwaibwe, buli mulala alobe kutegeera wundi ky'akoba.”
  8. Kale Musengwa Katonda yaabasansaaniza eyo mu nsi yoonayoona, era baalekera okuzimba ekibuga.
  9. Ekibuga kyatuumibwa eriina Babeli, kuba eyo Musengwa Katonda ye yatabuliratabulira olulimi olw'ensi yoonayoona. Era eyo ye yatoolera abantu, n'abasansaaniza mu nsi yoonayoona.
