Nuevoladino (נוֵבָלַדִנָו / נויבולאדינו)

Nuevoladino is a way to write Spanish with the Hebrew abjad developed by Murray Callahan. It is based on the Judeo-Spanish alphabet, with some adjustments. The most notable difference is that all the consonants are written with single letters, for example, ñ is written as נּ rather than ניי, which the Judeo-Spanish script usually uses. Therefore, Nuevoladino is much easier and more convenient for writing Spanish.

Nuevoladino has both a vocalised and unvocalised form, respectively known as manera punteada and manera completa, the latter of which makes extensive use of matres lectionis - consonants that replace vowels without directly representing them.

Notes

The word y is always written as י.
A cheva (אְ) is always added to a consonant when it appears before another consonant, but never when it appears before a non-syllabic "i" or "u", e.g. ניֵבֵי "nieve" or אֵדוַרְדָו "Eduardo"
A gliding "u" after h (i.e. "hu-") is always written as ו, e.g. אַתַּוַלְפַּה "Atahualpa"
When the consonant y appears after e and at the end of a word, it is always written as yod daguecheado to distinguish -ey from -e, e.g. פֵי "fe" but רֵיּ "rey"
Yod daguecheado can also be written to distinguish y from the matres lectionis e and i in manera completa.
Huav daguecheado is used only in manera completa to distinguish hu from the matres lectionis o and u.
A meteg can be added to an accented vowel, e.g. אֻֽנִקָו "único"
A rafe can be added above ב‎, ג‎, פ and ת‎ to indicate fricatives, but this is optional.
Rashi script can sometimes be used when writing Nuevoladino, as it was originally used in printed works in Judeo-Spanish.
