Baybayanon is a member of the Central Bisayan branch of the Philippine language family. It is spoken by about 10,000 people in Eastern Visayas Region of the Philippines, particularly in the city of Baybay on the island of Leyte. Baybayanon was originally a Warayan language, however it has been heavily influenced by Cebuano.
Baybayanon is also known as Baybay, Utudnon, Waya-Waya or Leyte.
