Transliteration

  1. Däsläptä, yär yüzıdä bırla til bar idi, insanlar päqät bu tildıla sözlishätti.
  2. Ular shärq täräpkä köchüwatqınıda, babilondiki bır tüzlänglikkä kelıp orunlashti.
  3. Ular özara: _hısh quyup, otta pishurayli_ däp mäslihätläshti. Bunıng bilän, ular qurulushta tashnıng ornığa hısh, laynıng ornığa qara may ishlıtıdığan boldi.
  4. Andın, ular: _bır shähär bina qılayli shähärdä asmanğa taqashqudäk bır munar yasap, öz namımıznı chiqırıp, täräp-täräpkä tarqılıp ketishimızdın saqlınayli_ deyishti.
  5. Pärwärdigar insanlarnıng bina qılıwatqan shähär wä munarını körgili chübti.
  6. Pärwärdigar: _ular bırliship bır qowm bolup, bır tilda sözlishidikän. Bu päqätla ular qılmaqchi bolğan ishnıng bashlinishi! Bunıngdın keyin, ular nemä qılishni halısa, bunı qılalaydu.
  7. Bız chüshüp, ularnıng tilini qalaymıqanlabturuwetıp, ularnı bır-bırınıng mäqsıtını uqalmaydığan qılıp qoyayli, _ dedi.
  8. Bunıng bilän, pärwärdigar ularnı pütün dunyağa tarqıtıwätti. Ular shähär bina qılish qurulushini tohtatti.
  9. Shunga, bu shähärnıng nami babil [ahang jähättä «qalaymıqanchilıq»] däp ataldi. Chünki, pärwärdigar u yärdä insanlarnıng tillırını qalaymıqanlashturuwetıp, ularnı dunyanıng härqaysı jaylırığa tarqıtıwätkänidi.
