Sawila is a member of the East Alor branch of the Trans-New Guinea language family. It is spoken by about 3,000 people in Alor Archipelago in the Alor Regency in the province of East Nusa Tenggara in southern Indonesia.
Sawila is also known as Tanglapui. Sawila speakers call it Manata. Dialects include Lalamana, Lona, Salimana, Sileba and Tanglapui. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
