Takuu is a Polynesian language spoken on Takuu, an atoll in Bougainville province of Papua New Guinea, and in other parts of Papua New Guinea. In 2018 there were about 1,750 speakers of Takuu, which is also known as Mortlock, Taku, Tau or Tauu. It is closely related to Nukumanu and Nukuria.
Takuu is taught in primary schools and used in literature. It is not considered endangered. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
