(Genesis 11: 1-9)

  1. Daquella tola tierra tenía una llingua y les mesmes pallabres.
  2. Y emigrando los homes dende l'oriente alcontraron una llanera nel país de Xinar, y establecéronse ellí.
  3. Y dixéronse unos a otros: "Fagamos lladriyos y cuezámolos nel fueu." Usaron el lladriyu como piedra y el galipote como recebu.
  4. Y dixeron: "¡Venga!, construyamos una ciudá y una torre que llegue cola so punta al cielu, y fagámonos un nome pa nun ser dixebraos per tola tierra."
  5. Y el Señor baxó a ver la ciudá y la torre que los fíos los homes taben construyendo.
  6. Y el Señor dixo: "Equí la xente ye toa una y fala una mesma llingua, si entama faciendo esto nada-y impidirá faer tolo que-y preste.
  7. ¡Venga!, baxemos y tracamundiemos la so fala, pa que nun se puedan entender los unos colos otros."
  8. Asina el Señor los dixebró dende ellí per tola tierra, y dexaron de construyir la ciudá.
  9. Por esto foi nomada Babel, porque ellí el Señor tracamundió la llingua de tola tierra, y d'ellí dixebrolos per tola face la tierra.
