Nomish (Ɣarab Qˤʷʼəʃə) was invented by Kitsune Sobo as the native script of the Nomes (Qˤʷʼəʃar) in the Rhodinoverse. The Rhodinoverse is a fictional multiverse created and illustrated by Kit, and features various species with their own distinct languages and cultures.
The Nomes of Wonderland had little contact with the outside world, and as such had no concept of things like music or writing systems for their language. The large number of phonemes in Nomish also prevented them from devising a script, till one day a stranger calling himself Janicot visited their city, Kʷakə.
The stranger was there for one night, during which he described musical notation and alphabets to the Nomes. The next day he was gone, with only scribbles he left behind on the rocks to prove his presence. From these symbols, intuitive but simple, the Nomes devised a suitable script for their speech.

"Grey caravans of clouds scuttled eastward, cloaking a full moon, Stars shimmered in the new deep like coins buried under a lake bed, Western mountains adorned bloody peaks and stark shadow in blue, Sun limp on the jagged slopes, teeth from a dead giant tore through, Jaw-drooled mighty rivers whose course trickled down the forest gums."
