Adele is a Kwa language spoken in central Togo and southeastern Ghana by about 37,400 people. In Togo it has about 26,400 speakers in Sotouboua Prefecture of the Centrale Region. In Ghana it is spoken by about 11,000 people in Nkwanta District of the Volta Region along the border with Togo.
Adele is also known as Bedere, Bidire, Gadre, Gidere or Gidire. It is written with the Latin alphabet, with slightly different spelling systems in Togo and Ghana.
