Krache is member of the North Guang branch of the Kwa group of languages. It is spoken by about 83,000 people in the Oti Region in eastern Ghana, particularly in the Krachi West and Krachi East districts.
Krache is also known as Krachi, Kaci, Kaakyi, Kaakyɩ or Krakye. It is written with the Latin alphabet using an orthography developed by the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation GILLBT) for a Krache translation of the Bible.
