Ivbiosakon (émáì)

Ivbiosakon is a member of the Edoid branch of Volta-Niger language family. It is spoken by 100,000 people in the north Edo State in southern Nigeria, particularly in the village of Afuze in Owan East Local Government Area, and also in Ojavun-New-Site, Uanhumi, Eteye, Okpokhunmi, Ojavun-Old-State, Evbiame-Old-Site, Ogute, Evbiame-New-Site, Ovbionwu.

Ivbiosakon is also known as Aoma, Kunibum, Emai and Ora. Dialects include Emai, Ora, Iuleha, Ivhimion and Ihievbe. A way write Ivbiosakon with the Latin alphabet was developed in the 1980s.
