Piapoco (Wenewika)

Piapoco is a Northern Arawakan language spoken in eastern Colombia and in southwestern Venezuela. In Colombia it is spoken along the Vichada and Guaviare rivers in the departments of Guainía and Vichada. In Venezuela it is spoken along the Orinoco river in the San Fernando de Atapapo area of Amazonas state. In 2007 there were about 4,930 Piapoco speakers in Colombia, and there were about 1,750 speakers in Venezuela in 2012.

Piapoco is also known as Cháse, Tsáçe, Amarizado, Dzaze, Enegua, Kuipaco, Piapoko, Piapoko Dejá or Yapoco.

Translation

23. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
