Bukid is a member of the North Manobo branch of the Philippine language family. It is spoken mainly in the Province of Bukidnon in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines. There are also some speakers in the northeast of Lanao del Norte province, in the Cagayan de Oro area of Misamis Oriental province, and in part of Lanao del Sur province. In 2010 there were about 168,000 speakers of Bukid, which is also known as Binukid, Bukidnon, Binokid or Binukid Manobo.
Bukid is written with the Latin alphabet. It is used in literature. There are a number of dialects, which are mutually intelligible, and the Malaybalay dialect is considered the standard and prestige variety.
