Talaud

Talaud is a member of the North Sangiric group of Philippine languages. It is spoken on the Talaud Islands Regency in North Sulawesi Province in the north of Indonesia, particularly on the islands of Karakelong, Lintasabu and Kabaruan.

Talaud is spoken by the Talaud people, who are also known as Taloda ("sea people"). There are six dialects of the language: Sali-Babu, Karakelang, Essang, Nanusa, Miangas and Kabaruan, which correspond to the different islands on which they are spoken.
