Ratahan (Toratán)

Ratahan is a Philippine language spoken in the Southeast Minahasa Regency in the North Sulawesi Province in Indonesia, particularly in the villages of Pangu, Wioi and Wongkai near the town of Ratahan. About 500 people speak Ratahan fluently, most of whom are over 60 years old. Another two thousand or so people have some knowledge of the language

The name Ratahan is thought to come from the word rata (plains, level), and the native name of the language, Toratán means "the people of the plains".
