Tiruray (Teduray)

Tiruray is a Philippine language spoken in the Mindanao Region of the Philippines by about 60,500 people. It is particularly spoken in the municipalities of Datu Blah T. Sinsuat, Upi, the South Upi in the southwest of Maguindanao Province, and in the municipality of Lebak in the northwest of Sultan Kudarat Province.

Tiruray is also known as Tirurai or Teduray. It is written with the Latin alphabet, and contains loanwords from Chinese, English, Hiligaynon, Maguindanao, Spanish and Tagalog.

There appear to be different ways to write Tiruray. The glottal stop is not always marked, and it is unclear what á signifies.
