Dhurwa (ପରଜି / धुरवा) Dhurwa

Dhurwa is a Central Dravidian language spoken in the states of Chhattisgarh and Odisha in eastern India. In Chhattisgarh state Dhurwa is spoken in the Bastar district and written with the Devanagari script. In Odisha state Dhurwa speakers are found in Koraput district, and write with the Odia script. In 2011 there were about 52,300 speakers of Dhurwa, which is also known as Duruwa, Dhruva, Durva, Paraja or Tagara.

In 2019 Professor Prasanna Sree of Andhra University created a new alphabet for Dhurwa.
